Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has said Nigeria needs a leader who is ready to make deep sacrifices, including risking personal safety, to move the country forward.

Gkingmusik reports that she shared her view while speaking during an interview on Channels Television, where she discussed the state of the nation and the 2027 general elections.

Omotola expressed sadness that Nigeria is still struggling despite having many natural and human resources that other countries desire.

The thespian said the country has what it takes to succeed but lacks leaders who are brave enough to take tough decisions that would truly free the nation from its problems.

According to her, a nation can fall into chaos if there are no laws or if those laws are not enforced.

She explained that even countries seen as strong can become unsafe when rules are ignored.

For her, order and progress come from clear laws and leaders who are willing to enforce them without fear.

She added that Nigeria needs leaders who are selfless and genuinely care about the country, not those who only tell emotional stories to win public sympathy.

She criticized politicians who claim to love Nigeria or speak about past hardship but fail to show real concern through their actions once they are in power.

Omotola said many of such claims from leaders are not true, as their behavior shows they are more interested in personal gain than the welfare of the country.

She stressed that Nigeria’s future depends on finding leaders who truly put the nation first and are ready to pay the price for real change.
