Gkingmusik reports that the changes were communicated through a police wireless message from the office of the Force Secretary.

The message revealed that CP Audu Garba Bosso has been assigned as the new Commissioner of Police for Imo State, while CP Bassey Samuel Ewah will take over as the Commissioner of Police in Plateau State.

The communication, dated February 3, 2026, came from the Force Secretary’s office at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

It was directed to senior officials, including Deputy Inspectors-General, Assistant Inspectors-General, state Commissioners of Police, and heads of specialized units such as Interpol, Counter-Terrorism, Mobile Police, Border Patrol, Maritime Police, Air Wing, and Bomb Disposal, as well as other operational and administrative departments nationwide.

The redeployments take effect immediately.

In other news, bandits have reportedly killed a soldier and five residents during an attack at Zurak community in Plateau State’s Wase local government area.

Gkingmusik learnt that the incident occurred on Monday around 3:00 pm, with three soldiers missing after the gun battle with the bandits.

Confirming the incident, a youth leader in Wase, Shapi’i Sambo, said the bandits, who had earlier burnt down houses in Sabon Gari community, also looted shops and carted away food items and valuables.
