Salaam Joshua Jesugbogo, popularly known as King of Prank, was born on April 24, 2001. He was born and raised in Oyo-Ile, Oyo State, where he attended Olivet Baptist High School. King of Prank began his content creation journey in 2016. While his twin brother furthered his education, he continued to pursue his dream of becoming a creator.
His breakthrough came in 2019 when he posted a video that gained public attention, earning over 1,000 likes. At that time, he was known by his former stage name, Kenny Jhay. Motivated by the support, he continued working hard and later gained admission into Ekiti State University, in affiliation with Emmanuel College of Education. There, he met many friends who supported his craft by reposting and promoting his videos.
Along the way, he ventured into a 2-in-1 business known as FHG or Fiverr. During this period, his family turned their backs on him, but he remained determined. One day, he met a boy selling ewedu, and their interaction caught his interest. He recorded and posted the video, which went viral and significantly increased his fame. However, due to issues with the boy’s parents, he decided to stop working with him.
In 2023, he focused fully on creating prank videos. His pranks were highly realistic and often expensive to produce, which led him to adopt the stage name King of Prank. One of his prank videos went viral and skyrocketed his popularity that same year. Since then, he has become loved by many and continues to remain a trending figure on TikTok.
Throughout his journey, he has met several people who contributed to his growth. He created content with Sanku (of blessed memory) and often mentions Arley Crown, noting that they both began their content creation journey together.
