How Saudi Crown Prince, Israel Pressured Trump To Attack Iran

United States President, Donald Trump, reportedly ordered Saturday’s military onslaught against Iran following intense private lobbying by Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and the Israeli government.

According to a report by the Washington Post on Sunday, Trump launched the operation, codenamed “Operation Epic Fury,” after months of behind-the-scenes pressure from Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

The newspaper, citing four sources familiar with the matter, disclosed that the Saudi Crown Prince made multiple private phone calls to Trump over the past month advocating for direct U.S. military action against Iran.

“Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made multiple private phone calls to Trump over the past month advocating a U.S. attack, despite his public support for a diplomatic solution,” the report stated.

The publication added that the coordinated diplomatic push by Saudi Arabia and Israel “helped lead Trump to order a massive aerial campaign against Iran’s leadership and military.”

Khamenei, Top Officials Killed

Saturday’s joint operation, carried out by U.S. and Israeli forces, reportedly resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, alongside several top members of his government.

Iranian state media confirmed early Sunday that Khamenei was killed in the wave of attacks, which also claimed the lives of at least 40 senior officials within his administration.

The development marked one of the most dramatic escalations in Middle Eastern geopolitics in recent years.

Iran Retaliates

In retaliation, Iran reportedly launched multiple missiles targeting U.S. bases in Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia.

The extent of damage and casualties from the missile strikes had yet to be independently confirmed as of press time.

While the air campaign was underway, Trump addressed Americans in a live broadcast, declaring that the objective of the strikes was to dismantle Iran’s leadership and its nuclear infrastructure.

He charged Iranian citizens to “take over their government” after the operation, vowing that Tehran would never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear arms,” Trump declared, pledging to destroy what he described as the Islamic Republic’s nuclear weapon infrastructure.
